  • This slicer is shaped like a cylinder and is made from plastic and two stainless steel blades, one on each end of the handheld device.
  • Vegetables and fruits fit inside of the cylinder and get shaved into beautiful ribbons thanks to the blades.

For What To Use

Long, skinny items like cucumber, carrots, and zucchini will work best in the slicer and fit into the opening of the device which is 3 inches wide. Larger items like potatoes or sweet potatoes can still be used, but they need to be cut into long pieces that can fit into the Spiral Cutter. Soft, over-ripe or mushy vegetables should not be used in the Spirelli Spiral Slicer.
On each end of the cutter is a stainless steel blade, each of which produces slices of a different sizes. If you want thinner, noodle-like slices, then try for the smaller side of the blades. Larger, thicker slices come from the second blade


How To Use 

  • Anyone can use this cutter and it certainly does not take chef experience or extensive culinary knowledge. The instructions below will walk you through the process, but most users find that after using it once, the whole process is easy to remember and repeat moving forward.
  • You'll need two hands to operate it, so it is important to prepare your work space before you begin. The Julienne pieces will come right out of the Spiral Cutter, so put a large plate or bowl underneath it. The vegetable noodles will fall right into the bowl, limiting any cleanup afterwards.
  • Once you are prepared, insert the vegetable of your choice directly into the Spirelli Slicer as far in as it will go. With one hand, hold the Spiral Cutter still. With your other hand start turning the vegetable against the blade. You should see thin strips of the vegetable begin to extend from the blade and fall onto your plate below. As you work your way through the vegetable, you may find it difficult to reach into the device to cut the final piece of the vegetable. An included cap to the device, with spikes, can be placed onto one end, screwed in, and turned to force the last of the vegetable to go through the Spiral Cutter.
  • Some vegetables, such as carrots and cucumbers, do not need any further preparation after going through the cutter. They add a beautiful look to salads, and they can also be a garnish to main dishes. Zucchini and squash noodles fresh from the Spiral Cutter can be consumed raw.
